Re: Testing the waters again...
All I had was a personal check (completely forgot to get to the bank on Friday) which not surprsingly he wasn't 100% comfortable with, so I got a bill of sale and we each signed a contract (we each have our own hand written copy) saying that he will mail the title within 14 days once the check clears.
In the mean time, I plan on riding it.
Once I get the title, I can register it.
Once I get a speedo, fix the blinkers (missing the rears and the fronts don't work) and horn I can get it inspected and it should be fully legal. The only other thing it would need that I can think of is a chain guard but I don't think I'm gonna have to worry about that.
Here she is, all loaded up. I'll snap a better once later on this week after I get her cleaned up.
Currently it's got an aftermarket exhaust system on it but I have the full stock system and it's in better shape so I might throw that back on.

Mmmmmm dirtaaayyy
Immediate needs - new battery for magic button and brake pads.
Secondary needs - wiring work & stock exhaust system
After that - get er street legal! (will need a speedo)
Re: Testing the waters again...
Cliffs in Norfolk has whatchu need.
Most places will overlook the speedo...but an odo, if not already there, is handy.
Edit: and a skidplate, if you didn't get one with the bike. I have one that may fit...
Re: Testing the waters again...
Cool man. No instrumentation whatsoever. I was thinkin about getting a Vapor gauge.
Don't have a skidplate either. Would ya mind bringing it to the track in 5.5 weeks?
If anything big comes up that I need help with, I'll definitely keep Cliff's in mind. Too bad it's so far away from me.
Re: Testing the waters again...
i'll drop it in the tote now.

+1 for cliffs they are really good. most times they'll match internet prices for parts too.
Re: Testing the waters again...
Cliffs told me to go this route. http://trailtech.net/computers.html
And I have found this kit to be pretty sweet from all the reviews for the directionals and stuff. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...FamilyId=26724
Sweet pickup!

Yeah, those are the gauges I've been looking at.
And I like that Enduro kit, but alls I need now is a horn. It's got everything else (though it's kind of a mess in the wiring department right now) except for a front brake sensor for the tail light.
