I spent one too many cold nights wrenching on my antique skid steer and decided to put it up for sale. Meanwhile, I snagged up a nice, fully capable TRACKED, 73HP bobcat & Trailer... a Nice upgrade from the 40HP wheeled CASE.
I have fill wanted ads up in the area, and will be putting one out on the highway when the ground thaws. Last year, I managed to cut about 1/2 mile of 6' wide trail with lots of elevation change and natural whoops. I hope to get 100 yards or so of fill and complete the track at at least an 8-10' width.
I will need a couple two or three day weekends with help (without bikes) to get it to a (fun) ridable state. I plan on letting folks take what they want for wood, saving the rest for firewood and renting a chipper for the brush and smaller stuff. The work would consist of mainly brush removal (1"-3" dia trees) and some larger trees. I would hope to get most of it out of the woods and on the fringe for easy access for chipping later on. I also have the ok to sneak a bit of the track out of the woods and into open area for a bit (as long as Meg can't see it in our mountain view).
Anyway, for those that are really interested - post up or PM me. I would like to organize the first date in late March (weather permitting).
In. I should have the whole last week of March off... and all of April too.

Nice skidsteer! Those tracked ones are the best!
Lemme know when it happens and I'll try to be there to help. I might be able to round up a decent sized chipper for the PTO of my tractor too.

I have a serious chipper that I could help out with. Let me know the dates well in advance. My schedule is filling up quick.
I am still indebted to you for saving my FZR600 fairings, so weather, schoolwork, and time permitting I would also like to help
EDIT: umm wow...I might need a vacation that lasts a few days to make that trip...union and I would probably carpool
and nice toy ya got there!

yeahup
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
OK... over a couple of feet a week ago - slowly melting away again... Planning on getting the route marked with some string/tape and then invite a couple folks over with saws to help trim the saplings (no tree felling round 1).
I am looking for some help - I have an android phone and would like to track the loop as I tape it off to get a trackmap. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
and let me know if you're interested in an early april brush/sapling removal.
sounds rad, I will have to see when you are doing work because my spring is all F'd up. Got a wedding to go to in Mexico, races and a few work trips as well.
