I have some morning plans with my parents for fathers day, but want to get some trail riding in during the afternoon. I'm thinking 1pm until whenever? I'd like to try and hit the 20 mile mark. Location, my house, pm for an address

Well, interesting day to say the least!
Trails were slick, gravitational pull was high today and we only managed 11.2 miles of awesome.
The day ended when we heard an ATV go by on the road, then some bad noises, then a call to 911. The kid was banged up pretty good and taken away in the meat wagon.
I think we may be on NBC news![]()

Poor kid was fucked up. We heard a bang and went to the road to see and found a ATV in middle of the street with the kid laying next to it. Mark ran to call 911 and ran to see how he was. Kid was NOT breathing right, moaning in pain etc. Guessing he broke his arm/ colar bone.
Looks like he was trying to fish tail and just lost it. Rolled it a few times, something tells me onto himself.
Mark, what are you trying to lasso??![]()
I saw it, thanks for the call..haha
We don't really know exactly what happened and he was a bit foggy and didn't really know what he was riding and how he got there. My "guess" is he was ripping down the road (dirt road) at a good clip and trying to fishtail side to side and lost it. The ATV was sitting normal in the middle of the road, but it clearly tumbled a few times. The rider, a 16 year old that lives 2 house down was laying on the ground and pretty much didn't change his possition until the ambulance arrived. The news report said he hit a tree, but that's untrue.
I havn't heard the extent of the injuries, Tom was with him while I called the rescue, then went and got his parents.
We were towing the ATV back to the kids house as the news reporter showed up.

He was but it wasnt strapped on. Just about the only thing that kept it on his head was his goggles. Which is what I think allowed him to get all the road rash on his chin/ face. The bottom of the helmet was at about his nose when I got to him.
Mark, any news on the kid? I am betting hes pretty hurt..
No, I havn't heard anything. I'll probably take a walk tomorrow afternoon or Saturday and ask. The atv is still in the same place we left it.
He went a long time without changing possition that day, and it was the EMT that changed it, my guess is the same as yours..he's hurt pretty bad.
