Two Wheel Snow Riding

The poster formerly known as Mongoose and I went out yesterday on studded tires in the snow. It was our first time and new bikes, so the learning curve was a bit steep. All in all, the verdict was: AWESOME! I pushed the front more times in 100 feet than all my dirt biking experience combined LOL! OK maybe thats a slight exaggeration, but not much. I also attribute that almost completely to inexperience in snow. If you haven't tried it, I would. Its a great work out, nice to stay on a bike all year, and its a crash course in traction control on 2 wheels. Once you get the hang of it a little its a lot of fun. We also were there with some much more experienced guys than us, and they were cruising like it was normal dirt. Thanks Tim for all the help getting us set up and a sweet spot to ride!!

hamilton rod and gun is the one i typically hear of. don't they typically try to line up the banquet with a race? i got invited to race last year, but we hit a warm spell (thank god)

Nice track, just an oval. They have a pitbike course on the infield.

riding near me sort of sucked because there was powdery snow (slippery) over ice (more slippery), so the riding was pretty slippery

No, not me. I was on call for work this weekend, so I had to be available. I'm taking the week off to ride though. Planning on riding Mon, Wed, and Fri.
