That's a lotta shit to be wearing on a dirtbike.Originally posted by OreoGaborio
Why do you ask? Just curious or are ya lookin to buy some stuff?
If you're just curious, here's my break-down:
LIDS:
KBC VR1, Shoei RF1000, Vemar VSR Carbon
LEATHERS:
Alpinestars GPU 2-piece suit
Alpinestars GP Plus gloves
Alpinestars SMX Plus boots
(just kinda happened that way, I didn't plan to be all A*-ed out)
BACK PROTECTION
Bohn Carbon/Kevlar BP & waiting to hear from Tony about back/chest protector combo to wear while racing.

Not really the same. HJC is one of the better offroad helmets while they kinda suck for streetbike helmets.
I've kinda got a miss match of gear names...
HJC helmet
Scott goggles
Thor chest protector
AXO mx boots
Yamaha pants and jersey
FOX gloves
Make sure whatever helmet you get has a removable/washable liner. Dirt helmets get nasty quick and usually require washing after every 2 or 3 rides, and only expect them to last about 2 years![]()

Errr this is the dirty section, I don't think you'd make 100 yards on a tight trail with all that shit on

I don't think G-man is too fond of Fox products after this past Saturday. Well, their chest protectors anyway.
HJC's top-shelf dirt lids are an excellent product, and a good value.

I've never seen or heard of them, but I'm not actually looking around either. I've always had HJC offroad helmets, my next will be a Arai supermoto helmetOriginally posted by Ecooke21

I was surprised to see that as well. I've had my Thor for 6 years now and it's still in good condition and not one part has failed yet. A chest protector is a MUST for trail riding... tree branches hurt like hell even at slow speeds... not to mention a rock or 2 shot up from a rooster in front of youOriginally posted by ChR1s

Yes the Fox chest protetor broke. But it is all set now thanks to Chris' zip ties. I am going to redesign the shoulder connections and have it re-sewed. Thanks Grandma..
See you guys next weekend hopefully.
Besides that I have O'neil Shirt and pants with HJC Helmet and Thor Gloves. All pretty good.
