Yeah, same. We started to break through the top layer of ice into that weird pool of water/slush/snow sitting on top of the next layer. It was a little disconcerting suddenly dropping down 5-6" when we broke through.
You guys out on Gorham Pond last weekend? Finally get a track made?
I know where there is a YZF400 already studded up... just waiting for me to come by and snag it... I so want to play on the ice again...

If I am correct that would be Mousam lake.
KB, which part of the lake are you on? If you are standing on the road looking at the front of the gas station are you on the section with the public loading dock or on the main section of the lake which would be behind you in the position I just described?
Joel
if youre at the gas station then its the section of lake on that side of the road (behind gas station, not the hot dog lady side with the beach). about a 1/4 mile south of there is a coffee shop/ daycare that you can park at with a road down to the lake

timeframe?
Is there enough snow on the rest of the lake to try the snowhawk out without killing myself?
Joel
I don't know about the snow thing. Best thing to do is call Chauncey if you got his number. If not I can get it from Trevor. They were out there last week on sleds I don't know about your snow hawk. PM me you number Joel. I don't have it for some reason.

We got out for a couple hours this morning,
Ice is still thick enough, there were trucks on it yesterday.
It was really rough and bumpy from the snow melt and refreeze along with some wind.
But we made the best of it.
I hope with the new ban on kids bikes , we will be able to get parts for these in the future if we need them .
I decided to see just how far over you can go, I was dragging the footpeg but still hadn;t fallen
I was trying to scrap the bars going the otherway when I finally went down .
not sure how many more ICE days we will have this year.
but atleast today was fun.

Next weekend there is organized ice racing in Windham/Sebago. Guess it's going to be on a track in a pit rather than on the lake this year?
This is about how it would have went today.
KB
Exactly!!!
Has anyone seen the ice racing on On The Edge on the speed channel?
The crazy canadians from cycles 128 masters of mini were on there tearing it up!! Cool shit they had ice on an asphalt track it was whacky.

Here's some inspiration for you...
Anyone riding in NH this weekend?
Crashing inspiration?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
you mean the hand guards?
Lasik
We're in a fight, you can cook your own damn dinner.

Wow... how do you even start the process of standing that thing back up?! That lean angle is just obscene.
That pic of the bike laid way over is sick. Very sick. I'm inspired - ice spikes on my dirt bike next winter. Preferably those European jobs.
For me, I assume standing it back up from that lean angle will be simple. Get up, walk over to the bike, and pick it back up. Still, gotta try![]()
