Just talked to Steve, the New schedule will be up soon. Bike night has grown and now there will be vendors/dealers on BOTH sides of the street. He is taking over the ice cream shop's lot. So parking has been greatly improved.
i'm about 6min from both meeting spots, lol.
wacky, huh?
hurray, strikethrough!

last I knew it was a draw on the battery that would kill it over a short period. I don't remember if it was over night or longer.

Yup, 1 Amp draw on the an old and new battery with the ignition off. Drained the battery overnight if I didn't leave it on a tender. Best I could diagnose was the leakage goes away if the instrument cluster was unplugged. I tested the Stator (it puts out the spec. 65VAC at 5K rpms.) I tested the diodes in the rectifier/regulator (~.9V again, meets spec.) These findings didn't surprise me since every time I've killed the battery, I've been able to jump it and ride it. To me, that means I can run the bike on the charging system.
So .. in frustration and mistakenly thinking the quickest solution was a shop, I took it in for service. They think, as others mentioned on here, that it's the Stator and Rectifier/Regulator. I've been wrong before so, "Sure, replace them." They ordered the parts. That was two weeks ago. Rumor has it the parts are supposed to come off back-order today and ship from California some time next week. It'll probably be over 4 weeks at the shop before it comes back and I'm missing some of the best riding weather of the season.

Is that a good enough excuse to take a car to the Chinese meeting spot?
stop by, help put the R1 back together and I'm sure Keith would lend you the bike![]()

well he did A&R race baffles and I think he needs to redo the rivets or something but he's been out all week with back problems, so I'm not even sure when or what he's going to do....
We both are going to try a trackday on June 3rd so it needs to be done with oil changed and track ready by then...

I'll tell him to hit you up... thanks
