First off, I'd like to thank the 85% of the riders that simply followed the rules... didn't crash... and improved their riding. You riders make up my DREAM track day. If we could find a way to only allow these riders into Track Day, everyone would get almost 3 hours of track time and I'd be very relaxed.

For the 10% that crashed while following the rules and being respective of their fellow riders, I hope that you were able to learn something from the crash and you too are more than welcome to return... and since you already crashed, you may be less likely than those above to repeat.
Now... for the "problem childs" that make up the last 5%.
I guess it's just like anything else where a few people just don't seem to be on the same page as everyone else... or feel like the rules are for others.
Basically, I spend about 1/2 of my day dealing with the same issues or people. I'm getting very tired of hearing the same excuse - "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I couldn't pass there"
I must say about 100 times that the rules are clearly posted and its your responsibility to know them. If you have any questions, ask BEFORE you get on the track!
Anyway... there are some changes coming for next year to address this issue, as well as people that have simply gotten too fast for our events. And I don't mean that some of these fast guys aren't following the rules... it's just that I am not comfortable with having huge speed differences on the track.
Our website will be undergoing a complete renovation this winter. We are going to change the look, improve the signup process, and make some new rules and guidelines. We look forward to a great 2005 season and hope to see the "good" 95% back.
As always, your input is requested on ALL aspects of our events. I know we aren't the cheapest track day around, but we are striving to be the best. And my gut feeling is that people will remember having a great day far longer than the extra $25 it may cost.
Once again... THANK YOU for supporting our events and ride safe!

Thanks very much for everything, Tony - it was an awesome day, I will definitely be back for more![]()
The only suggestion I have (and I put it on here because I wonder what other riders think), is this -
At the car events, we have a blue flag - it is thrown (pointed) at someone who is holding up traffic, so they know to let off at the next passing zone and let some folks by.
Definitely not a complaint, just a suggestion![]()
Thanks again for an awesome day, and thank for the advice regarding my tires![]()
Thanks Tony !!!! These days are a blast ...... I looking foward to next year as well as everyone else here .
That's a tough one. I would rather people just honestly look at their riding and if you know you're not the fastest... just chill out on the passing areas. My wife does it without any problem.

There seemed to more 'pulling over' at this one than others I've attended. But there's still a couple that just don't understand the concept. And it never fails: It's always the dudes with the bikes you can't touch on the straights...Originally posted by 35racer

Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Not me
I pulled over at every chance. Until I can hang with the best of my group, I intend to do the same. I think it makes it much nicer for all. I could still hang the corners with some, but it still added to my peace of mind...
Plus, maybe I'm weird, but theres something thrilling about about a bike SCREAMING past ya on the front straight. I can't imagine I'd feel that way if I raced, but the sound of some them twins... GRRRRR!
But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
i experiance very little pull over in the blue group, there were about 3 liter bikes that just wouldn't let you by in the straights, including one who I ended up getting side by side with, made eye contact, and he just twisted his throttle to get ahead of me just enough to slame on the brakes for each corner ... was he a delightful person![]()
If you were so much faster than him, why didn't you just go around him in 1?
2003 Yamaha R6
1999 Yamaha YZ400
because he would make every corner too wide to give me a chance to pass him, and its against the rules to pass on the inside
So who is this delightful person in which you speak of? I checked out the odfu board and you (saxman) and a few others have complained a lot. I saw that Tony got an email from someone who came forward for being an ass. Is this the same person?
Jamie
it was me... i'm a penis... i'll jam you all in the corners & peel away in the straights... then i'll prank call your mom at 4am & tell her you're a closet case homo. after that i'll let air out of your tires & urinate in your fresh air vents, but not before i wipe my shit under your doorhandles.
