Hello All,
I hope this isn't too vague of a question but I was wondering if anyone had any insight into doing a caliper / master upgrade on a GSX-S750?
I assume Brembos are good, but honestly I have never bought aftermarket parts for motorcycles.
A little background - I have about a half dozen track days under my belt and bike is obviously powerful enough for me. I was looking to do an upgrade to give me some more confidence going into corners and thought this would be a good place to start seeing as the stock calipers are a bit lacking on these GSX-S's.
Thanks and keep the rubber side down!

I see - just wondering why is the master more likely to help? I figured the caliper would have a bigger effect.
And I'm not saying I'm at the limit of my hardware - but, well, I just want better brakes lol.
The master is more likely to help over calipers because it will change the feel of the brakes at your hand. You should be able to modulate the braking forces easier and better.
To get better braking I would first get better brake pads. Everyone likes something different. I like Vesrah. The stuff I used on track required a little heat in them to get the feel I was looking for but they would stop all without fade.
If that doesn't get you where you want to be then new lines might help. If that still doesn't get you where you want to be then I would add a new master.
I've never even considered changing calipers on any of my sport bikes for better braking. I'm sure the high end stuff would make a difference but remember there are people chasing lap records at Loudon running on stock calipers. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them running the stock master too.
Fair enough! Maybe I'll put some more miles on the stock hardware. I was under the impression that brake fade was common with the stock hardware but perhaps that's above my skill level.
I feel like SS lines are probably a better dollar per performance upgrade than calipers.
I also agree with Union that first pass is pads.
I feel like it's then a toss up between lines and master.
HH pads, braided lines, and high quality brake fluid.

You don't need brakes. They just slow you down.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
