If you are a newish track day rider, monitor your front brake pad wear: a multi-day event on old pads may wear them out.
Hence this thread. Bike is GSX-R750. Ridden occasionally on the street, mostly track days. Want to have spares.

There are some “race” pads I’m assuming might need more heat than generated on the street, but I’m open to other suggestions.

I have galfer HH on my SV and they are a welcome upgrade from stock. More initial bite even cold and braking power that increases with lever pressure.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
Very impressed with my DP race pads. Very good initial bite, very consistent over the whole race with very little fade. quick to bed in and a Big plus is they are easy on rotors too. I am sure there street pads are just as good.
I may know a guy with a DP Brakes hook up![]()

i run cheap 16 dollar pads on my track bike. thankfully i am fat, cannot ride and the bike makes like 60 hp
Your Galfer link is for EBC brand FA pads. The FAs are a little on the weak side for spirited trackday use.
The next step up "EPFA" is what I use on my track SV(s) and street bikes, haven't worn them out yet, good cold and hot feel, progressive and predictable.
"GPFAX" if you want balls out race pads for use on hot tires at the track, I haven't run them yet due to their high cost.

Vesrah XX pads. Super strong, very linear, and they last forever. Can't go wrong with those.
The Vesrah RJL are are my favorite street/ track day pad. I have a set in my Harley right now. I even used them for racing when I was learning. Always felt good at the lever. When I got going quicker any my bike was track only I went to the SRJL which I think are the XX now. I felt they needed a bit more temp in them to not have a blocky feeling to them but they did stop better for a longer when trying to throw your bike into a corner.
