    Gas cans

Where do you folks get the uber cool gas cans I see at the track? The little home depot model I have is kind of a pain in the butt...

I got empty fuel cans which are even cooler. BTW the race fuel stores better in metal rather than plastic containers which for some reason baffles me.

sunlight causes race fuel to break down. the 100% opaque nature of metal containers better protects the fuel inside.

Do the metal cans "slosh " when you pour them? They aren't vented are they? Are they ok in NJ? or can you just paint them red? Doesn't NJ want red fuel cans for some reason?

    Re: Gas cans

Ted has some really nice ones that are made to just tip upside-down and pour. They have automatic shutoff when the fuel level gets up there. And they're approved fuel transport containers, unlike the VP.

From the VP site on their jugs:
NOTE: The VP Motorsport Container is intended only for use as a rapid refueling device for racing vehicles used in professional off road and closed course competition racing events. It is NOT a portable fuel container as described by ASTM, EPA, ARB or other state or federal agencies.
Intended for racing fuel only; not to be used for street legal fuels.
    Tuff Jug.

Do you even think before you speak?

You have to hold the VP jugs over your bike as well.
They actually hold 6 gallons same as VP jugs, but they
Have an auto shut off feature as well. Plug it in and the valve stops the fill once you're to the top.
Just because it holds 6 gallons does not mean you need to fill it all the way.
If you're too weak Mondo you can put just 4 gallons in and it will still work.

    Very Kewl.
Come check mine out at the track Tuesday.
