Also, was pitted next to the guy who claimed to be the actual current lap record holder, although I didn't get the time. Forget his name. Older guy, thick mustache, white and orange ZX-10 on slicks. Can confirm he is retardedly fast, I was out with him all day on Sunday and he made my :38 pace look like novice group.

Yeah, that guy passed me quite regularly like I was standing still. His bike is pretty quiet too, so you don't really hear him coming.

Why only one lap? I'm not sure if you're watching your video with a stopwatch, but When I was using my gopro for timing, I'd set up a spreadsheet so that when I put in one time, it would tell me the next time I could expect to be crossing the same point, then you can move the scroll bar to that time in the video. You can get all your laps pretty quickly then, albeit with only ~1s of error. If you wanted to get more you could count frames from the time a second ticks off until you cross whatever your S/F is.

....still a PITA, so you could just pick up a lap timer. :-)

i ran a qstarz that i borrowed from roland. i just checked my email for it. he sent me my top 3 which consisted of 2 1:40.xxx and 1 1:41.xxx. so by that, i gather with open track i can click off some consistent 1:40s or less and i know that im leaving some time on the table. last time i was there i spent a lot of time chasing/battling a guy on an RSV so i may have had some lower times then since i was really riding pretty hard to catch him.
i dont have a lap timer because, for the most part, i dont really care. im out there to have fun. i know lots of guys run lap timers. most of the time im in front of them
