Also, anyone want to get together on grilling some food Sunday night? Per usual I'll be arriving with some McKinnon's house marinaded steak tips and cooking my daytona potatoes. Speak up and toss a few bucks my way for a great dinner on Sunday night.

I'm doing the same, and my last race is #9 or 10 on Sunday so I won't be early. I was probably going to do food prep at the track between races so I can put it on the grill in a hurry when I get to Thompson.

What I'm getting at is I'm happy to cook, I can probably do it for 12-15 people. $10/person should cover everything, all anyone needs to do is say they're "in" for dinner and show up hungry.

Good to know. Rob may not work on sunday (if he does we'll be getting there at like 10-11PM), so we may take off early and grab dinner on the way. We will talk it over. $10 for deliciousness and camaraderie is right up my alley. If we do join you, I'm happy to bring something for a side.

I'm new to nesr but i will be attending this day (i'm assuming its with penguin?) I'll be driving down from burlington, vt and riding intermediate on my SV650. I haven't registered yet and am still trying to work out some details of the trip but would be happy to pitch in for this and can confirm that I'm making the trip in a day or two.

Woodstock Fair is this weekend too, only 15 minutes from the track. You could hit that up a day before for a spectacular weekend.

Daytona potatoes are the potatoes I invented about 10 years ago, hammered at the Daytona 500. Potatoes, green peppers, onion, butter, and of course some secret seasoning. Wrapped up in tin foil packets skin side down and tossed in the grill or camp fire. Crispy on the skin then soft all the way through.

Ok, sorry guys. I'm going to bail on cooking, weather looks questionable at best fort over night. I may or may not camp Sunday night, my girlfriend lives about 30 minutes from the track do if it's raining I'll stay there. Sorry guys!

The bathrooms are open all night and are close to where you'll be camping. There are no showers at Thompson yet though....Kinda ridiculous IMO.

I know some guys with portable showers who will be willing to rent you a spot for the right price

Hell of a fun track, there's some really fast sections through there, particularly the whole back section 9-11. Awesome ripping through there and getting light over the hill.
