Motor, Handling, and Brakes were all superb.

If the tank was re-shaped, it would have been an awesome bike!

When I tried to hang off, the edges of the gas tank kept me from leaning toward the mirror... basically keeping me back further than I would like.

I'm sure I could have adjusted with time, but my CBR600 tank lets me drape over it so that is what I'm used to doing.

yea, I noticed the tank edge when I test drove one. But of course the 1098 is almost as bad.

It's great to have a "lip" to put your leg into, but with the RR it seemed to be too wide at the back?

Then again, I'm only 5'8" and kind of pudgy...especially with my surround armor.

It's been a yar since I ran Loudon. It was good to be back home.

What a prefect 2 days. My legs hate me and my upper body is still looking for a workout.

Everyone was wonderful to chat and work with. I bounced around later in the day on Tuesday and ran 2 hours straight. You all are picking things up very quickly and improving dramatically. Don't be afraid to slow things down and try some things out. You've got nothing to loose and everything to gain. Keep it up.

I'm glad you pointed that out after your session. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to get forward as much as I wanted to. After you explained what you realized, I adjusted and shifted off to the side more, so I'll have to re-learn some positioning with it...

Glad no one got a pic of me riding "bitch" with you back to the garage!

It's been too long since I've been able to get up there and it took me a few sessions to shake out the cobwebs. Once I felt comfortable, and got in my groove, I was ripping around at pretty good clip (good for me anyway!) on Monday. Tuesday I signed up for the timing and my best time was a 1:32 (Slow, I know, but I'll get it down!) Wished I had signed up for it on Monday, because I know I was a little faster when my old body was fresher...

I need to get comfortable with the new config of turn 1, still struggling with how much speed I can carry down the "shute" as I pull away from the wall. I'm breaking way too early and losing all the speed that I was able to gain coming down the front straight.

Many thanks to Pete, John, KB, and Chris for some pointers! Each of you helped with one particular section or another and I appreciate it very much! I know that Pete and John followed me for a lap or 2 then gave me the thumbs up as they blew past me, giving me advice back in the garage. Also, thanks to Keith for boosting my ego by asking me when I was going to bump after my 3rd session on Monday...

I tried to get some pics of Tony ripping around on the 'RR for a session, but he was too damn fast for me to get a shot!

You are welcome! I had a blast riding with every these past two days!

Hope to see you all again!

What an awesome time. I don't think the weather could have been better. Thanks to ALL the crew from Tonys. I can't explain how much I got out of the two days this time around. Between the class time and being able to be singled out and follow the CR's around after "losing" the line helped this slow guy on a boat anchor get faster and more confident through the days. For those that got bumped up to yellow Congrats. I think my next step is the arc and a td to follow. And thanks to the other folks in red group. To see everyone getting better as a whole made it that much funner getting around.

As for Tony. He came (flew) by me at the turn in to 1 and and see him near 2 by the time I'm entering 1a had me laughing out loud in my helmet. What a trip!
Keep up the good work guys. Will definitely be out there again.

Hats off to Owens photo as well. To take 3-4 thousand pics is crazy. I got my 2 day bundle for his efforts.

Thank you for riding with us and glad you had fun. The arc and trackday combo is definitely a great recipe for even more improvement.

It's neat seeing that "new" Trumpet out there tearin it up

Speakin of ole girls, it was neat to get reunited with MY ole girl. The owner of my first street bike ever showed up and I got to turn a few laps & drag a knee on her like old times

It was a great event for sure. You guys rode really well & I saw a ton of improvement!

At first you were like a virgin with it. BTW what is the shift pattern at the start finish line? LOL

Yeah I was totally for the first few laps. Had to feel out the tired suspension & street tires. And the footpegs felt so low!!!

The new bike looks sweet. You really gonna make the S1000 track only?

Mike, If you're asking me, yes, that's where I'm leaning.
