600 was definitely the right choice. Only time I would go liter is if it were a twin.
I was going to go to N.Y. to get one for 8000, Naults was 8300 OTD.
It was worth 300 bucks to do business there instead of dealing with Holiday Traffic this weekend.
And when would you like to collect your commission?!.....
I will have it at the track on the 15th and all the others, Gotta break it proper and all.....
Woodcraft will be getting a call soon....
Here are a couple pictures I snapped last night. kinda crappy as it was getting dark out. I may need to switch my screen name now....

Now...To get some miles on it since I can put the ARK on hold.
I was just starting to gather 2 of every type of female I could find too.
Beuatiful bike! I hear the 2007+ CBR600RR have awesome midrange for a 600cc. If I could just get used to the ergos...I would either go for a GSX750R or the CBR600R. For my daily commute I have my FZ with a trunk. I must say Nault's is the best. They also have excellent deals on left overs.

This is my first inline 4 so i can't comment on other bikes in it's class. I was very skeptical if I would like a 600 over the bigger bikes. I am definitely happy with my choice over the 1000 right now, This bike seems like more fun for me in the way I abuse it.
I did just come off a Buell XB which had gobs of low end torque. RR Doesn't have as much down low but is close. The power delivery is very smooth and the brakes are fantastic.
The buell couldn't handle the track days so well and went BOOM on me my 2nd ride of the season this year. luckily on my street.
My only complaint is the seat, after a 2 hour ride yesterday my ass was not happy... I can only hope it gets better.
Gotta check out the 600RR / 1000rr forums there are allllll kinds of mods and aftermarket stuff available there.
These guys already said it but Change the sprokets after 1000miles and feel the change in tourque delivery ..... you'll fall in lust all over again ...
you got the Black SWEeeeeeeeet
Put 17k miles of double duty on my 1K and I now ride / race a 55hp V-twin Hawk and smile just the same as if I were on the 1K
Congrats![]()

Thanks. It looks slightly different now.
Still have a Puig windscreen to install and some levers.
Next thing will probably be another set of BT-016s. Great tires:

I have both the CBR 600 and 1000. I like both. Differences are, to me, is the sensitivity of the throttle on the 1000. The 600 is smoother. The 1000 takes off quicker. By your description, you're a big guy so you might want to go with the 1000 because it's a bit bigger and heavier.
