Motorcyclist escapes serious injury

HUDSON, N.H. -- A 26-year-old Pelham man lost control of his motorcycle yesterday afternoon and slid under a moving Jeep Wrangler, but still escaped with non-life-threatening injuries even though he had no helmet on.

Police said Thomas Harper was driving West on Bush Hill Road about 3:15 p.m., when he lost control around 135 Bush Hill Road, crossed the double yellow line and slid under a Wrangler driven by Emilio Lopez-Centellas of Hudson.

Harper was taken to Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center in Nashua and will be cited for unreasonable speed, police said. He was listed in good condition.
