It's my 10 year bikeaversary this weekend

10 years since I bought my first bike. Do I need to do something special?

Hallmark says the traditional gift on year 10 is tin/aluminium. Modern gift is Diamonds.

What should I get my bikes? I just bought them some oil. Is that good enough?

What are they gonna get me?

The bike I bought 10 years ago is long gone. Does this anniversary even count?

I hate these kind of relationship quandries.

FWIW, I have been riding twice as long as you. This summer is year 20 for me.

Hallmark says 20 is China or Platinum. Maybe I'll spring for some new plugs for the SV.. (Although she doesn't need 'em.)

Huh. Thanks for making me think of this. In September it'll be ten years since I bought my Bonneville. I don't remember exactly when I bought the XT350 before that, but that's closer to ten and a half years.

Ha! Happy Bikeaversary! It'll be my 15th in January... Hallmark says crystal for traditional and watches for modern. That might be perfect because I've been meaning to attach my spare Casio more permanently to the handlebars so I can have a clock on the CB-1!
