I thought this was a cool video:

I've seen it...but good video.
Doesn't the commentator have such a sexy come-to-bed voice?
Fifth Gear is a very cool show.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

I'd be interested to see what the motorcycle rider turned for lap times in the Westfield.
I think that's one key thing they tend to leave out. I highly doubt that Vicki could run anywhere near a :49 lap on a bike, yet the rider could probably run a decent lap in the car.
Car vs bike? Have both drivers do one lap on each. THEN show me the lap times.

What's your point? That not everyone is fast, or even knows how to ride a bike? That I've only been riding for 6 weeks and still have 1" chicken strips on my tires? What are you trying to say?Originally posted by Greg (MA)

5th gear always throws in a catch with these. that tight is super tight (good for the 4 tires of the car) and the bikes usually go out on cold tires.
Greg brings a good point. a motorcycle takes more skill to ride hands down.
they had an experienced rider and an experienced driver, both on high performance machines... sounds like a fair matchup to meOriginally posted by Greg (MA)

It's simple physics... take equally skilled pilots, put one on a high performance bike & one in an equally high performance car and typically the car will win.. much more surface area on the ground, lower CG, better aerodynamics etc.
... and they each took warm-up laps, so the tires weren't cold.

Dont forget 4 fat, FLAT, tires that give a much bigger contact patch/weight ratio.Originally posted by x2468
