This Guy wants to trade me for my 900ss.

I'd have to get at least $3000 out of it for it to be worth it to me.

What do you think? should I do it and sell it to some squid in the spring? Do you think I could get $3000?

Didn't you get 1200 out of that fricken asscoot?

If that's any indicator you should be able to get 3000 for the CBR, but I would think the CBR should sell for 22-2500.

That bike has been on craigslist for a while I believe.... If you wait until maybe June or July, I think you would get $3k, but I wouldn't expect too much more than that.

This is what I was figuring. If I can get $3000 for this shouldn't I be able to get that much for the Duc?

I would think Ducati with 15k for $3000 or 900rr with 35k for $3000, it would be a no brainer right?

Or are more people attracted to the 900rr?

are those zip ties holding the gauge cluster on? whats with the industrial stregth bolts holding on the wind screen? just walk away you'll be better off selling the duc strait up.

If it were me - I wouldn't do a trade (thats a lot of money for an older bike). I'd keep trying to sell the Duc for a month more or so, put it away for the winter, and then try again in the spring when Bike Fever hits.

I think the Duc has a better resale than the CBR. I hate to admit it. Seeing I am a Honda fan. Italian VS Jap. You figure it out.

I only got 2 K from Uncle Snakes buddy for an 91 ZX -11 with less miles and near perfect condition.

I think you would need to smash down the gas tank and add a cage to make it really desireable.

    There's no way you'd get 3K for that 900RR.

tell him to throw in 1000 cash, so you are sure you will be ahead in the trade.

you might not have such a hard time selling the Duc if you took off some of the stickers to clean up the look a bit. JMHO

Have you asked the guy if he has something more valuable, like a pit bike or an Ascot?

Damn I hated those CBR's with shitty geometry and 16inch front wheels.
I rode a few and none of them handled worth a damn

I bought my 97 RR for $3800 last June (06), and it had 14K and was in mint shape. so, 3K for the 94 seems a bit high IMO.

I called the dude and told him to pound sand.

Now Highsider is thinking about buying it.

I'd would look at it but those dry clutches are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

And Highsider always says he will buy my stuff too, but he never comes by fast enough.
