    High temp coating?

Any recommendation for black jet hot coating for exhaust in the Boston / Northshore area?

Any specific coating I should be specifying for longevity / avoid fading?

    thanks

I had a MV Agusta F4 midpipe coated black. I actually just went to www.jethot.com and shipped it out to them and had it back super fast.

from what i've read, the pipes should be coated inside and out for longevity, otherwise the pipe gets extremely hot inside and deteriorates from the inside out.
again, this is from what i've read..

What if the pipes are stainless steel, such as the ones on my Sprint?

honestly, you'll have to do the research, but if the outside is ceramic coated and the inside is not, the coating holds all the heat in, and the metal gets much much hotter than it normally would because it can't radiate any of that heat away.

how your particular grade of stainless would react to this, i simply don't know.

Ceramic coating stainless is fine. I had the headers on my car coated, but my supplier had it done for me so I don't know who he used.

i had my SS exhaust coated twice by the same people come to find out they never blasted the exterior and the coating never stuck properly. would flake after a couple months.

i had my headers/Y's blasted and then used the eastwood product with 10x better results.

i think SS can be ceramic coated just needs to be blasted first.
