    NESR lost a friend and fellow rider...FireFly

    I'm posting this because I know some of you knew Tim Valerio, aka FireFly, personally. He was an amazing person, talented musician and made damn sure everyone around him was having a good time. I miss him already.

    I didnt know him personally but i am sure i speak for everyone here when i say thank you for logging on here and letting us know we lost one of our own. Some of us including myself wouldnt have put the pieces togethor.

    I remember the day I met Tim like it was yesterday.... watching TV one hot summer afternoon, wondering who the hell was blipping their motorcycle over & over again outside of my appartment. Poked my head out my back door, followed the sound of his F4i down the ally & found him wrenching on his bike installing his Micron exhaust.

    Part of me is glad I introduced him to NESR, but part of me always felt bad cuz of the (friendly) ribbing he always got for all his silly questions (even though they always made me chuckle) but at the same time I know he learned a lot from everyone here.

    Definitely a character and definitely a good guy. Played a mean guitar & was a funny dude to hang out with. I genuinely wish I got a chance to ride with him more than once or twice.

    You'll be missed, Tim. Rest in piece, bro.

    Dan, thanks for logging in to share the sad news. Please send my condolences to the rest of his friends & family. Any chance there will be a funeral service closer to Boston?

    Thanks everyone, it really means a lot.

    He grew up in Commack, on Long Island, and went to college at Berklee in Boston, then moved back. I believe the only service will be on Long Island on Friday.

    Don't feel bad, he can handle the ribbing. It made him laugh just as much. I've read his posts on here before and he deserved all the ribbing he got.

    I remember when he first got his F4i. I rode my ex500 up to Boston from LI with him. He kept complaining how much his ass hurt.
