Hitch mount bike carriers

Anyone use one of these / recommend a brand? Only going to be used transporting a dirt bike ~10 miles (a little bit of highway). Anything heavier or farther and Ill use the trailer.

I've used like four different ones. For a light dirtbike, they all seem fine. I think the one I have now might be from Harbor Freight?

I have the harbor freight one, use it for getting the dirt bike 3 miles away on local roads. The only reason I wouldn't use it more or want it as my only way for transit is that it blocks view of the license plate and all rear lights. I could see certain cops going crazy about it

Yeah I have a harbor freight one. Should be just fine with a dirtbike on it. Used it a few times w/ my SV but it's not really easy to use with 17" rims.

I have JoeHauler brand hitch carrier, hauled a liter bike across the country on a Grand Cherokee. Strong, tough and a little pricey.

Anyone know what brand/type Linn uses? I saw him rather comfortably haul a 675 Daytona down an Interstate using his. That would seem to handle nearly anything.

I use a beefed up cyclegear one to haul my gsxr to the track. Its a shitty piece as is but with mods it works OK. I wouldn't buy it again even for a dirt bike. It just isn't well made.
I use a harbor freight tow light kit for my signals and zip tie the plate to the bike for long distance runs. No troubles yet.

There's a hipster in my town that tows an enclosed 6x12 with tandems using his TDI Golf. I see him on occasion at our transfer station. "It's a diesel so it has no problem towing" is what I overheard him say to one of the station attendants.

Truth be told, I'm jealous because I'm using an Nissan Armada to tow a 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer.

Would easily handle a dirt bike...in fact I've had all sorts of bikes on it from 400-500lbs on it. Used it on my diesel liberty and now my grand cherokee. nice not having a trailer sometimes.

Oh, and I added a 48" pickup truck LED light bar for like $15 off Amazon for additional lighting. already had the 4 pin wiring attached and everything.
