    I think gixxers got their popularity because they were always at least about $400 cheaper than yamaha, kawasaki, honda etc... Now with the new DMS mode switch, the extra electronics have them now pricing their bikes equil to the competition. This could equal out the popularity or it could create an improved sales tactic toward new riders.(squids)

    Aprilia reliability > Ducati reliability.

    Rotax - check valves every 20,000 miles. Ducati - ADJUST valves every other fill-up.
