2002 MV Agusta
Seems like a great deal
Looks like Matty's bike from BoRn.
TIMMYDUCK
does it really go 200mph?
I had a 2005 F4 1000S I bought for $13,500 with 900 miles on it and sold it 2 months later with 1300 miles on it, sold it for $14,100
One of the most beautiful bikes ever made in my opinion. Exotic! WAAAAY FAST! Holy mother of all motorcycle sounds! The engine sound is enough to give ya wood.
It rode like crap. Terrible on/off throttle, herkey/jerkey on and off power. it would completely upset the chassis mid corner if the throttle was adjusted even a tiny bit. I didnt get it with a manual cause I bought it used, so I had no idea how to setup the suspension and it was all messed up from the prev owner. The incredible amount of heat that bike threw was almost unbearable(and I have an RC51 which is a very hot running bike).
I just couldnt jive with that bike. I think it was that particular one, I would love to try another MV Agusta....
Yeah, I rode Nefarious' at the track last season & it had the same horrible on/off throttle jerk and a huge flat spot at 5k. It was a fun experince, but there were times I was coming out of turn 2 & if I didn't carry enough cornerspeed I would end up being in that 5k flatspot & I'd actually decelerate after the apex because the power wouldn't come on the way I wanted it to. So instead of highsiding his brand new bike I would just keep my wrist where it was until I could stand the bike upright enough to roll on some more. And once I did... wow. The thing fuggin SKREWED.
He said he knew of a few things that would drastically improve that. Think he said PowerCommander & something else, I can't remember.... but if I were to spend that much on a bike it better be good from the factory.... of course if you spend the money to fix the issues I'm sure it'd be a phenominal bike & a dream to ride on the track...
I'd probably love to own the 750. RoyB has one that's a beauty.

Well, you probabbly know of the dual throttle body springs then. I disconnected one of them and it was a little better, but the damn thing STILL was killing my wrist, didnt mention that before bit I could only ride for 1/2 hour then my right wrist would kill me all day.
I suppose the powercommander would have helped, but there were just too many things I didnt like, so I tossed in the towel. I realize that it could have gotten better if I did the PC and tweaked the suspension, but on this particular one the clutch was just about wasted from prev owner (YES at 900 miles, it was almost done)
Then add the fact that the heat from this bike made it almost unbearable. I didnt have the terrible overheating problems that some with the 1000 are having though.
Beautiful? YES!
Fast? HOLY SHIT YEAH!
Just not for me. Although, I wouldnt be opposed to trying again with another one. Heck, I made $600 on it after a few months of riding....
