eh... I'm sure a twist of the throttle would change my mind but it's not doing anything for me on paper...

The first generation blows this thing away aesthetically. It now looks like Rosie O'Donnell.
Not sure where you saw that listed as a "dry weight," but that's actually being given as a "curb weight," as in, full of fluids and ready to ride. A 480lb "wet weight" is not all that unusual. The previous version (the one you have) I believe had a listed factory dry weight of 198 kilos (~436 lbs), and this new one (first with an aluminum frame) should be slightly lighter.
I personally disagree with that...to me the first gen's styling was a total afterthought. It was more like a 'Franken-bike,' an amalgam of leftover parts to try and create something different. The only thing I liked about it was the stock pipes, some of the best looking ones I've seen on a street bike. The last generation was much better looking (minus the pipes), but I think this one blows all previous ones away.
Lose the exhaust, eliminate the plate mount and the belly pan and I think it would look pretty good.
Its ANIME Fugly but the rest seems to be a great street bike
Glen Beck is John the Baptist
looks like another kawi "how many lines can we cram on one bike design" to me
OG ZX1000 looks way better. Check out that hot ass!
