"Best" in terms of what? Value? Price? Power? Handing?

It might be the "best" streetbike (which is what the Honda is generally referred to as). You rarely see someone racing one at Loudon though. Heck, I rarely saw one in Jersey either. Some of that might have to do with contingency though. Yamaha, Suzuki, and Ducati are the only ones who offer it as far as I know.

yup Hondas typically win best all around street bike. Yamaha takes handling, Kawi motor and GSXR squidliness

if you look at racing championships it depends on which one you're looking at. World Supersport is dominated by Hondas and Kawis. AMA its mostly Yamahas but a couple GSXRs and a Triumph fighting for the wins. LRRS is pretty much Yamaha country with the exception of Wood on the Duc.

Correct. Except for there are a fair number of GSXR's at Loudon now...

There is a RI guy who posts some whacky stuff on another forum but during a track walk he told me his zx6r was reflashed and is now like a 700. I could barely keep a straight face as he is as ridiculous in person as on the web.
