I also think that Malcolm looked like an idiot for his actions after the crash. He did look really good on the 450 though and I was hoping he would finish well.

As far as the crash. IMHO it may have been a racing incident but Barcia making that particular pass was the reason both of them crashed. Malcolm looked to be in a rut/groove in the berm and when Barcia came in and tried to take that rut/groove away his rear tire stopped Malcolms from continuing in that rut/groove at which point Malcolm fell and the pressure on Barcia's rear wheel from Malcolm's front wheel knocked Barcia down as well.

I realize in racing there is a need to get by the rider ahead of you quickly, so that you don't fall any further behind the other riders that are ahead of both of you, however in MX in particular I see alot of banzai passes made where one or two corners later a cleaner pass could be made without the associated risk. Makes for good TV and bench racing the next week but man it has to piss sponsors off when the riders are not finishing on the podium or even the race due to incidents like that. Though I guess this pass by Barcia is doing what sponsors love, generating discussion about their rider.

Don't forget the personal "shove" Malcolm put on Barcia before he picked up his bike that sat Barcia on his ass....
You just can't do that.... personal interference is a big no-no in any racing.... on or off the track.
Wouldn't be surprise if Malcolm is held accountable for that - more than anything else in the incident.

The shove was passion.. Misguided as it may be to shove an opponent, it was passion...

Racing at a high level can do that...

Was rooting for him until that point, I'll pass now until he proves he's grown up a bit. Still think JB51 is a dick, but he didn't deserve the shove and bike in his face...in this instance!

JS7 was definitely in the zone. that rhythm section was made for him. the whoops were treacherous all night. RV1 just needs a couple more nights like last night and JS7 could be in the hunt for his 3rd. calling RD5 the "king of consistency" is no joke. the dude is right there week in and week out.
big shake up in the 250s as well. not seeing a single PCK bike on the podium was a change for sure

thought for sure the past 3 weeks with RV1 going to the semis that we would see a shakeup, but he keeps pulling rabbits out of his hat. JS7s tear has been thwarted by illness. maybe with this week off JS7 can get some extra couch time and at least make it close but i have a feeling that the next round in NY will cinch it up for RV1.

I haven't seen a FB post from them in a week or so about it, but MotorSports Nation in Plainfield Ct has a bus trip going and the price included the bus ride and the tickets. May be worth looking into if you plan to go
