They should start putting speed bumps in critical areas like school zones...

It's the only thing that works. I've seen it for some schools but not many.

And the result is about the same whether you're going 40mph in your SUV or 140mph on a bike if the kids are running around.

I dunno, Pheonix roads are pretty flat and most are laid out like a checkerboard. If there wasn't any traffic in the area 160 doesn't seem all that far fetched.

If school had already started for the year, I'd say 3 years isn't enough.

I went there for a semester during my 3rd grade year... it's so not all it's cracked up to be. It's hardly even a desert and there were things w/in miles all over the place. And don't get me started on the bumps...

While I don't doubt that it's possible he was going 160, I'm sure he wasn't going that fast. People who don't ride (I'm assuming the cop doesn't) can't tell the difference between 90 and 120. He's still stupid as hell and got what he deserved.
