03-04 is one of the best models. Strong motor. 15k isn't that high at all. Kawi motors can have some valvetrain noise, so maybe pay attention to if/when valve clearance was done as the CCT. Otherwise i'd look at all the usual stuff w/ a used bike.

I can't see it being valued more than $3000. KBB has retail price at $3500. Any major mods?

You are getting screwed if you take the bike and only $2500 cash. Unless you would let your car go for $5500.

15k is nothing. My 95 has 36k. Don't let him tell you its worth than 3500 though. Unless its covered in after market parts etc.

good info guys thanks! i thought 15k was kind of up there, guess not lol. sounds like he wont like my next talk with him then, he was reluctant about $2100 on top, so he def wont want to do $3500 lol. oh well. as far as aftermarket parts, i think he said just a slip on, dont remember what one though. but that def doesnt cover the price gap lol

    Re: ZX6R

you're paying $4500 for that bike essentially. I got an '04 zx6rr last year with 12k miles on it for 3k. I love the bike to death, except as they said the valvetrain is quite noisy and go with a manual CCT as one of your first mods, it'll make the bike sound a lot quieter. But if you do end up getting the bike, it's a great bike, like i said i'm a huge fan of mine and i'm sure you'd like the 636 just as much.

Yeah I wouldn't pay more than 3.5 for that bike and that's if it's pristine & loaded. It's a great bike and relatively low miles for its age, but it's not all that valuable.

It just wasn't meant to be! He probably stunts it on the street anyway! Good thing you didn't buy it.

Far better off selling the car for cash and then finding a good deal on what you want in the future....
