Sucks in what way? It is very corrosion resistant and polishes up better than 303. I've got all carbide insert and solid carbide tooling for turning and milling so it's cake for me. Even when I have to drill it I've got TiAlN coated HSS-Co drills that work great. Having all the years of experience with it makes for no problems machining it.

Not 316L but still a bit of a pain to machine.
I work in offshore and petrochemical business so grew up machining it and stuff much harder. Ken is a star man, his idea of a ballpark measurement I'd +/- 0.002!
