Woke up early and opened my package from the Ram People.
Got really sick of using my phone as a GPS on my bike. This set up cost me about 140 bucks. Includes GPS off of craigslist, Ram Stem mount, Ram Cradle thingy, the switch, and the harness. I couldn't be happier![]()
I used the switch because i was very weary of the car charger that came with this model of GPS. It has some sort of receiver that gets traffic info. I didn't know how much of a draw that would pull from my battery, so i decided i didn't want it to be on all the time.
Harness tucked in under seat.
Switch fit snugly into pre-existing hole in frame.

Nice.
Does that have bluetooth to your Scala?
bad ass... I have the same thing and I used it last weekend. Worked like a charm. MP3s and Navi in one.
Sweetness! I gotta get some sort of setup like this but for my phone. What's stuck on your triple?

I ghetto rigged something just like that (minus the wiring.. my gps lasts for 6-8 hrs) The only problem that I noticed so far is that the angle needs adjustment and I can't see with the sun glare... Do you have any problems with this?
When i did mine I did not use a switch. I hardwired it with a 12v plug like it looks like you did. I also added in line fuses with it. I wired in another 12v plug in the trunk for car charging etc. Clean bike man.
i wanna get a setup like this... please tell me where and what you bought
need to find me one of these. Batery tender plug to Cigarette Socket.

The Cigarette Socket goes right to the battery terminals. 6.00 at any radio shack
The mounts are from http://www.ram-mount.com/
I got my mounts from cycle gadgets. If you have a stabilizer you cannot get the stem mount and you will have to figure out the mount that you want. Its stable and looks good. The best thing about it is that its removable. I got the cig lighter accessory from walmart and I used in line fuses from an old HID kit. If Radio shack has them with an in line fuse thats the better bet. Battery tender plugs are cheap money online also.

the stem mount was a conveinience for me yes, but there are so many ways you can attach that to your bike besides thatOriginally Posted by Subee13
I also used the stem mount. I like it better than the other ways personally.

i'm sure you can find it cheaper, but at least you know what to search for.
