I took one on a test ride it was a different experience. If i had the money i would probably get one as a second bike for the colder months when there might be ice on the ground. just my oppinion.

There's a chap in Lowell/Dracut you can see on one most days - I think he has a spine problem, but seems to work very well for him (used to see him on a burgman before)

    Re: can am

I had a chance to ride one of these for 2 days. A buddy of mine has one and let me have it down in Ft Lauderdale last december. If you want a snowmobile for the street, buy it. It is not a replacement for a motorcycle though. I found it to be lacking on power, oddly laid out, and having subpar handling compared to a motorcycle. If you want something with WOW FACTOR, buy it. if you want something fun, get a sportbike. it is a comfortable ride if nothing else.

I always laugh at 3 wheels.....

Then casually talking to a 3 wheeled Gold Wing owner discovered he lost his leg and
he could not hold up a 2 wheeled bike.

i agree that it would be a niffty invention for some one that had a physical reason they couldn't ride a bike.

... but,if you are riding one with all your body parts...i'm still going to laugh at you.

Never ridden one - have TT several people that own them and they love em'

Would never buy one as I don't see the challenge and exhiliration that I get outta riding on two wheels

People say those things have too many electronic "friends" to prevent you from screwing off with them...but the two you looked at, one yellow and one silver...well I've seen the owner of that shop you stopped at, beat the piss out of the yellow one. Holy sideways out of a parking lot and all.

It's good to own your own shop

I hear they are quite fun to ride actually, traction control and stuff also makes them pretty safe. I bet they would be great for touring.
