2008 GSXR 750

Hey everyone i'm new to the forum and seems to be starting out to be an awesome riding season already...

Question is...I feel myself wanted to buy a new GSXR and am looking at the 750. Has anyone bought the new 08 as of yet? Id love to hear what people think of it and if its worth the buy...also im hearing the exhaust modifications could be quite costly with the new model because maybe welding of the cat/muffler directly to the headers?

If anyone has an idea for a great exhaust to get that would be loud and cool sounding that would be a great help too.

I'm pretty sure there are only a few real changes from the '06/07 model to the '08 model but I could be wrong. A lot of us on here have the previous generation 600 and 750s and they are awesome bikes.

If I were you, if possible, I'd find a dealer with an 07 750 left over. That should sell cheaper than the 08.

i could look into that...i dont even see myself ever using that chicken switch either lol...full power all the time is what i say...

I've owned the 600 and rode the 750 and both are very tame low rpm. The 1000 on the other hand jumps and leaps when you touch the throttle so the mode switch can be sort of a comfort thing. Kinda like power seats in a car that provide firm or soft cushioning in the lower back type of thing.

Check out troycitygarage.com. They are in upstate NY. Have the 08 gixxah 750 listed for $9,499. You might need to wait a couple of weeks though.

I love the 08 GSXR's and will at some point be buying a black 600 or 750. I sat on 08 600 and 07 750 at Bettencourts open house last weekend and they fit so nice...

I've ridden the '08s. It's awesome. It's very similar to the previous generation. The new styling is awesome, it now has the selectable power modes like the 07 1000, and I have pleanty of them in stock...

my next question was what you got for a trade in, but i guess you just gave me the answer. i've been thinking of putting K3 600 black/silver plastics on my K2 600 yellow/black. if you're selling it, let me know the details. I'm looking for a bike for a co-worker
