Who wants to be the bad guy that gives him the bad news, that bike has been started at least twice before he got it... At least once before it went into the crate...

Heh, I wasn't even looking at that. : ) And even more specifically than it's been started at least once, it's been thrashed on a DYNO before it went into a crate... damn thing is beat, I'll give $50 for that clap-trap.

It's a friend of mine actually. And some of you may know him from LRRS. He's a novice racing an red/wht R1.

Thing has been sitting in his living room, and now dining room for the last 10 years. I've told him time and time again that it's worth about half that.

I wish I could afford to have one in my living room.
He might get lucky if he finds someone with a hard on for a mint one.
    It's worth a shot I guess.
Just make sure who ever does start it, replaces those ten year old belts first.

That's one problem I'm finding with alot of Ducati owners now a days, they think they're worth alot more than they are. The market dictates price but for some reason Ducati owners just aren't listening...It's a shame seeing the same 1098 or 998 et al in the for sale forum of any Ducati site for months on end

Izzit worth 5 or 6 grand? Looks like a fun bike for the odd Sunday when no broads are nagging to spend the day.

And while you're at it, replace the ten year old Pilot Sports, too.
