well i crashed again. please dont be too hard on me.
lowside at the same curve i went throu about 15 times before. was doing the same thing i use to do, same speed and lean in. didn't scrape anything. no sand. the bike slid and hit the rail gard on the oposite lane and looks like a total. the whole front just broke off, dent frame, etc. engine is good. i have concluded my tire is still slippery. i notice the other day waht looks like oil stuff getting squeeze from the tire around the edge. should have known better.
im ok, just two bruis knees.
repair is got to be upwards of $3-4k+. should i not make the claim and save my point?
"fuckit!"
Kham at least you are alright that is the most important thing. Insurance will suck they have been dickin' beet around, as I am sure they will try and do to you. At least your okay. I am assuming you had your full gear on which saved your body. Glad your okay
Crap!
That big time sucks Kham.
Glad you're OK.
Was that "Oil Stuff" on the front tire?
Guard rails suck. Roads need more run-off area...

on both, more on the rear. took the same line as i always have. it was pretty narrow. myself slid few feet onto oposite lane which would be enough to get me kill by on coming car. i think im gonna hang up my helmet before 3 strikes and im out.Originally posted by Jankster

I feel so bad about this, glad you are OK. I hope your insurance covers everything and you start riding again. It could be oil or transmission fluid in the road?? Tire pressure is also very important.
Best of luck getting everything fixed!
14" Biceps. So what if I am weak...
Did you just put new tires on the bike?? They used soap on my rims when they put new tires on, sometimes it will bubble out onto edges.i have concluded my tire is still slippery. i notice the other day waht looks like oil stuff getting squeeze from the tire around the edge. should have known better.

insurance is full cover less $500 deduct. im questioning in the long run which would be better making claim or dont. depends how big or small? how many points increase for accident?
"fuckit!"
it's stock set. i've notice more of it the other day and im wondering where did it come from? i've already got 4600+ on it. must be the stuff they use to make the tire, but why would they use slippery stuff? im thinking to myself.Originally posted by jsven007

if the front end broke off and the frame is dented then the bike is a write off, it will affect your insurance but not by a significant amount , check with your ins agency
bummer but glad your okay
oh i meant just the whole front cluster and lights, not the fork. i hope it's a write off.
"fuckit!"
you dont know this curve. it's at Blue Hill. like i said, i went throu about 15 times and doing about the same speed or less, taking the same line and trying to relax. nothing gets scraped this time, just wasnt fast enough for it. hand was off the brake. i can't explain why other than the tire.Originally posted by Mystery Squid
Oh Kham! :o
I'm glad you're ok man.
Sucks about your bike, but sometimes, as the famous saying goes, "shit happens".
Just glad you're relatively o.k.. Maybe it's a good time to take a "breather" for what's left of the season, and come back with a fresh start next spring.
By the way, do I know this curve?
"fuckit!"
Kham
Gald to hear your all right. You need to get out on the track, its a lot safer than riding twistys on the street.

Man Kham, I am glad your ok. I would claim the bike to the insurance asap, if you got the frame there is no question it will be totaled even the slightest ding.
You know what i am thinking, but I will not say it little brotha, I am just very glad your alright..
FYI, Find out how much the buy back is, I can get you $500 over the buy back for the bike, so you can get your deductable back. Once you find out the buy back price, tell them to give you a day or two to think about it, call me and I will contact my buddy who buy salvages. He sadi he will give anyone $500 over what the buy back price is... So let me know.... Get back on the saddle little squid, and take it easy, ok....

I miss ya Beet....ya Git!
fucking bad luck fucker
just the bike ahhhhh fuck fuck fuck
your ok bike fuck fuck fucksorry for you @ least its the end a da year almost
Kham, if you claim the crash on insurance they will write the bike off for a frame dent. Is the dent bad?
Insurance will load you 2 points for an at-fault accident.
Check the buy-back and sell the bike to a racer or use it to start racing yourself. Is this bike the 636 or the 599?

Kham- real sorry to hear about this, glad you're not too banged up this time.
only you can know for sure if you wanna call it quits riding... but if riding's in your blood, and you don't do it, you'll be wishin' you were every nice day for the rest of your life...![]()

thanks!
ill get some pics up soon. any negative comments are welcome. post here or pm. i'd like to know and hopefully learn from it. there was a short tire slid mark few feet, 4-5' maybe. ill admit i was doing close to 2x. 60-65 on 35. but again i've gone throu doing that many times as well as some other places like 118 and other similar roads. i swear i did not push more than that. i check my entry speed when i can. i would not be ashame to say here otherwise.

It happened in Blue Hills? I always rip through there, way to fast too. Shit!! Now I am little on edge. Where in there? How did you get your bike home? I am just glad your OK. Sounds like she is totaled though. Did the police come?
Don't hang that helmet up yet.

the very first sharp turn of first part when you get off the highway. i push the bike up to the little area on the right and sat there for hrs. the cop came by twice and just staired at me.Originally posted by lopycam

my neighbor has a plumbing truck and we just stuff it in there.

Kham, sorry to hear this and glad you are OK. Your tires could have just been worn and at theend of their life! But hey like Derek and Mike said, buy it back from the insurance company and either make it a track bike or let Mike sell it for ya. Don't give it up, you will only regret it later. Keep your head up, you will be fine.
Jamie
Are you saying you were sitting there after the accident and the cop didn't at least stop to help you out?![]()

He would have had a 10" hardon to talk to you if he had seen you actually riding the bike, but when you have an accident he could care less that you are there? So much for protect and serve! That pisses me off a lot more than them handing out stupid tickets!
Give it some time. When your bruises start to heal up you might have more desire to ride again than you do now.
Maybe you want to get a bike with less plastic, upright position, etc.. next time so you don't damage it so much if you dump it?
