Just wondering if anyone here on the forums wants to make some money... and help this newbie out.
Let's say.. $100 cash to pick up a bike from Scituate and take it back to Natick for me. Tonight would be great.. around 8pm give or take?
If not I may suck it up and get registration etc and 'try' not to kill myself on the 1hr drive up 93/95/90 to natick.
Please PM me right away!
Uhaul?
It's probably going to be too late to hit up a uhaul place by 8pm ish..
if this were anywhere near me i would help, but it is a couple hours way for me.
I just realized one of my good friends has an SUV with a hitch.. I'm going to rent a little trailer from uhaul for $25... I think we're going to make this happen.. yippee!
if not let me know i have a truck and am not all that far from either spot
All strippers SHOULD have fake tits!
I was just doing more thinking...
If I have to rent a trailer and then also buy ratchet straps.. then it might be easier if one of you guys who knows what they are doing to move it, it would be better?
Any special trick to move them? I did get another PM and they mentioned a condor stand to move it.. it's starting to get me worried now
1/2 pint, mind pm'ing me your phone number in case I can call you a little later as things fall into place?
If you rent a trailer from uhaul (either their motorcycle trailer or the new 5x7 ramp trailer) it'll have a notch for the front wheel, sort of like a chock.
Tie downs depends on the bike. if Naked, go from above the lower triple tree to the dring in the floor both sides. Throw a strap across the rear wheel to prevent it from walking on you.
Not sure how to tie down a faired bike, sorry.
Since I just did this on my new to me bike I picked up last night. Uhual has trailers with a sorta front wheel chock for motorcycles like said.
Get the front wheel in there and use two ratchet straps. Since my bike has fairing I like to feed it up by the front tire following the front forks inside of the fairing. Then over the triple tree then back down the other side inside the fairing following the forks again. The strap is connected to the d-rings of the trailer on each end. Ratchet it down tight so it compress the suspension. Watch out for all lines/cables and make sure you are clear before you ratchet it down.
Then I use a second ratchet strap to secure the the rear wheel usually by the swingarm go across to each d-ring. Watch out for the chain and brake lines on the swingarm.

Hmm don't think it's a naked bike.. will have to figure out how to tie down the handlebars and maybe over the seat...
Well if I can get some numbers of these other kind members.. I'm sure they can help me out better!![]()
I think I'm going to get 1/2 pint here to help me out...

Proof this is a great community...glad u go to see it so soon
Pics to come when I get some time in the light. It's a little rough around the edges.. but it'll do![]()
I went to the autoparts store early this morning to get a battery... and some oil and a filter. I think I am going to swap to fully synthetic 10w-40... but I can't find a darned oil filter! I cross referenced at home for FRAM , Duralast, and STP.. but the autoparts store didn't carry it. Am I doomed to go find somewhere else to get these filters?
Glad you got it moved. I was going to offer, but it was last minute on your part.
If all else fails, Lean more....
Thanks guys.. I hope to meet all of you guys one day!
I will swing by the harley store.. unfortunately that, and the scooter/moped store is the only thing that's near me. Would harley store carry filters for sport bikes.. will it cost me an arm and a leg?![]()
Where in Natick are you? There are plenty of places along Route 9
