Keys Cut

jus wanna let u guys know, i work at a lockshop and can cut mostly any motorcycle key out there, i dont know what dealers charge i think they get like 10 bucks, mine are like 3.50 plus tax, worst case scenario u come in i dont have blank and i hafta order it in, takes 2 days or so.
also, i can get anything from masterlock to protect your precious bike, so if u guys need stuff lemme ill take care of you guys

Just had some keys cut yesterday at the dealer for $10 a pop.

The key got bent while in the ignition to about a 60* angle & was perfectly fine that way until a fellow racer, who will remain namless but who's initials are Tom Joyce, decided to try & straighten it

by key part do u mean everything but the head of the key? are all the cuts there?

yes.... everything that you can't see when the key is in the ignition is there. I can still use the key to start the bike & open the gas tank, I just have to use a screw driver or pliers to turn they key & safety wire to pull it out of the hole

i can do pretty much every chapman type key ive run into, those are around 6 a piece..again lemme know i can knock a few bucks off if im there...

Larnz the last locksmith i talked to told me that he couldnt cut a key for me because my original was bent too much to be copied and that id have to bring the ingition in to him. Is there any way you could do this in an easier way?

yeh i usually jus throw the key in a vise, and straighten it out then copy it...USUALLY isnt that much of a hassle. did he even try to copy it?

he did, but the problem is that the key is worn out pretty well and is bent the opposite way than normal, if you're looking at the flat side of the key it is bent left to right that way

is it bent like it would fold in half from tip to head?

no no, it just has a slight curve to it so when he went to copy it with the machine it would not cut to the proper depth on some of the cuts

well, either way i havent run into too many keys i cant copy, best if u can bring the bike so we can be sure. either way if that fails, in the winter u can pull the ignition and bring it or ship it up to me, and i could fit keys it for like 20 bucks or so
