Took the bike out today......

Got to try out the new suspension today feels good but not pushing it due to the pavement still being cold. I can say that it feels much better already, more planted feel. Went and got the inspection sticker then took a little ride. When I was heading home I look down to see the speedo no longer working. Get it home and disconnect the cable and hook up a battery drill to test it. Spun it up to twenty MPH all is good from the cable up. Pull the front whell to check the speedo gear drive and find that the speedo clutch meter is wasted.

Went online to Riva Motor sports for some new parts,ordered with Two Day Select (3-5 days ) shipping

Getting back out and riding.......PRICELESS

I went out after work and after swapping rims/tires and the New Battery! Wooooohoooooo... Feels good to be out again! Although I did poop my pants pulling into traffic breaking the rear tire free trying to get up to speed... Back end kicked out a touch and I left some rubber.. Can wait till my Pilot Powers get here Thursday so I can take the 208GP's off.. It's all I got right now... Doh....

Did about 30 miles until it started getting cold and dark, so I came home and put here away. I may be doing some after work rides this week whenever the rain stays clear....

My 94 FZR 1000 used to chew up speedos too, about every three months.

This is the first time that I have had to replace the drive clutch/meter on it. Lets hope I get another 9 years out of this set....
