I stopped into Redstreak Motors today located in Marlborough. Very interesting selection of bikes there. They just became an authorized Benelli dealer. Man those bikes are impressive! The 1130 puts down 160 HP to the wheel! 1/4 in 10 seconds @ 120 mph. In line 3 cyl 1130cc engine. Completely modular frame (any part of it can be replaced), the gearbox can be switched in 10 minutes. They are doing an "open house" on June 2 at which you can test drive these things. That may be the only time in my life I will be able to drive a brand new $17,000 bike.
The other interesting bike they carry there is the Hyosung, which seems to be an offshoot of Suzuki. You can get a GT650R for around $6k brand new
Addy is 418 Maple st. Marlborough. I talked to Ray when I was there, very cool guy!
I thought Benellis got cheap? Something about it being sold or somethng?
17k? Damn!

They're owned by a Chinese company now, I don't know if they moved production yet or not.
So 17k for a Chinese bike? What is it an updated Hyosung? Oh wait that is Korean.
I will wait for the R&D to come up a bit before I buy a disposable bike for 17k.![]()

Thanks for the post.
I'm definitely going to this open house.
I've had my eye on their Cafe Racer:
thanks again
From Wikipedia
Benelli is now part of motor Group Qianjiang, which is a corporation located in southeast China at Wenling. Benelli Q.J. is located in Pesaro where the previous proprietors based the facilities, keeping the whole workforce previously working at Benelli s.p.a.
They aren't rebranding Chinese designed/manufactured products under the Benelli name (yet). Its somewhat similar to Proton's financial backing of MV Augusta.

Ok so I know Bennelis were kinda like MV Augustas for awhile.
But I had thought they took a nose dive recently. I could have swore I saw them going for cheap at National Powersports.
My Bad, I was wrong.
Here is your Tre Denno

2007 BENELLI TNT SPORT - National Powersports Distributors - Pembroke, New Hampshire - 1-603-410-4120
Looks like 14 to 17k

I wonder if the BX449 is going to get the Chinese parts? that would seem to be the logical place to start. I suspect that Marzocchi will be having some fork parts made in these Chinese factories (under close supervision).
That green color is making me thirsty...for a Heineken. Sweet bike though.
Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
They have two TnTs on sale at Eastern Ducati in Beverly. Hoving around 12k I think, brand new bikes.
on june 7th red streak motors in marlboro is having a demo day for the benneli bikes.....cant wait to test onw out. they will have the factory reps there as well to naswer any questions. They are having a hyosung demo day o may 10th if you want to checkout any bikes,,,,they hyo's are built in the suzuki plant....quality is pretty good for the money......
While there has been many rumors that the Hyo VTwin is based on SV650 toolings, or they're built of the same plant... it's all hype and hyperbole. At one time Suzuki operated a factory in Korea, Hyosung bought it out and run it themselves now with no involvement from Suzuki. The engine is inspired by the SV650, but not a direct clone.
That said, the GT250 could be a fun machiene to toss against a EX250 for a true barrel scraping entry level race series. Same weight, similar HP numbers, the GT's got a wider rear wheel for what thats worth...
If the GT650 was air cooled I'd give it a go in PTwins. The 250 just doesn't have the guts to be competitive, even being 80lbs lighter or I'd have considered that option.
I'd buy a Hyosung if they gave it a 100,000 mile warranty like their Hyundai countrymen...covering everything...like even if I crashed it...I just wouldn't travel too far from home.![]()

I don't remember the details but they did say it has an unusually extensive warranty which even covers tires.
I have a hyosung gt250r and the title is from SUZUKI!!!! I understand what your saying, many parts are diffrent but many are the same....
