Price seems very reasonable for less than 4K miles

My friend just bought a brand new 2026 M1000R to replace his 2014 S1000R. He is currently having some buyer's remorse as the motor isn't as usable as his old S1000. We do a lot of touring on tight and technical backroads and he either has to ride 2 gears lower to keep it in the power or just have lackluster power with lower RPM. Hopefully a tune can help mitigate this.

I've never been much of a fan of nekkid bikes, but they've really stepped up their games. That Honda Hornet looks badass, but the Tuono V4 has always sung to me.

The M1000R’s look a bit better, but I’m still not in love with the bodywork. Also not REALLY looking for a high strung I4. There is a leftover ‘24 M at GBM that “saves” a few grand, but I don’t think it’s the bike I’m looking for.

I do definitely like the Hornet in spite of the I4, although I’m sure Honda makes it much more rideable than the bimmer. I think what I like most about the Hornet is the simplicity of it. Other than the stock silencer it’s just a clean naked bike.

Maybe this speedy will increase in value like the Ducati 1000 L E - Paul Smart did . .
