What the hell!! Is it just me or does it seem like most used bikes are so overprised?!
It seems like everyone thinks that KBB is the end all of pricing.
2000 ZX6r for $4500
2003 636 for $6000 and up
2003 600RR for $6500
These people are crazy!!!
Where the hell do I find bikes for a decent price?
Are these dealer or individual sales prices? I'd think that you'd be able to get someone to lower his/her price on that fast new sportbike they purchased last year and quickly realized they can't afford payments on. As for dealers, they are entering the "get the highest price you can" time of year. Good luck getting a lower price from them.

Mostly individual sales. I'm done with the dealers and all their bullshit! I've been searching Ebay which is the worst. And craigslist isn't any better. Looks like I'll be searching outside New England.
Nope, you are right........used values are WAAY high. It comes down to basic economics (supply and demand)..........since most people buy used bikes the demand is higher and in turn increases the price. My 2 cents

The cheapest time to pick a bike is end of the season- Late November- December. Then in Spring prices jump up. Forums is probably the best place to find a good deal.

are you saying it's high, ignoring that it's spring and that the bike market value increases at this time of year?
or are you saying it's particularly high for this spring season?
and more importantly, does that mean I can sell my '96 XR80R for a hefty price?
The problem is that the average person goes out and buys the bike and pays almost msrp mid summer plus freight and all the other bs dealer charges. Then they get raped on a 10% interest rate. Then the next year come along and they decide they need to sell and the payoff is 8500 on last years 600. See where I am going with this?
