    re: Bike Week 2025

I'll be at the races both weekends, including both Fridays. Can't decide if I'm gonna take Tuesday off and check out the Vintage Hill Climbs/vehicle show at Tower Hill or take Wednesday off and hit Gunstock for the dirty hill climbs.

Gunstock should be fun to watch. tower hill? Not sure what the attraction is with that? Be more interesting if they ran it downhill and trying to stop before they hit the pier or lake.

We'll be at the vintage races as well.

Staying on site #2, quick trip to the beach to get my shirts and a ride a little bit north of Conway to visit the bestest cigar shop. And bringing a lawnmower to replace the old Craftsman.

What’s the deal with classic tickets? Is there any reason to buy online vs at the gate?

    Will do!

The Tower Hill hillclimbs are cool because it's mostly vintage stuff. There's also a vintage car show that kinda piggybacks it...

    re: Bike Week 2025

If anyone is looking for camping for the week and/or weekends, there's plenty of room.
    Rocky Road Campground
1540 NH Route 106 (2 miles north of the track)
    (603) 267-1982
Tell him Stonner (pronounced stoner) sent ya. It may help, it may not...

He usually charges $25.00 per person per night. There are showers & toilets as well as outhouses scattered about. It's all pretty primitive otherwise. Lots of tent sites and we seem to squeeze in a surprising amount of campers, but spots for those could be limited at times. You can reserve space ahead of time, but even then it's first come first served. I *MAY* be able to hold certain sites if we think it'll be needed by parking something until you get there. But we've always managed to squeeze everyone in.

Some sites have electricity, some have water, some have both. There's no time restriction on generators and if you can't get a water hookup, you can fill the potable tank out front. Dump station is also located out front.

Again, this is a very primitive campground with very few rules: N0 ATTITUDES, NO LITTERING, NO FIREWORKS. One of the unwritten rules is, don't ask if he's got it - ask where it is. There's no time restrictions, no noise policy.

There will also be ice & firewood on premises for sale.

It's really a very laid back environment and no matter how full it is it's always one helluva time. Again, it's pretty primitive so don't expect much. But damn, it's always a blast - even if Big Shirl & I are the only ones there.

I have permission to try to revive Stonerstock there, but I haven't been able to garnish much enthusiasm here.

It's the ONLY campground we've ever been where an employee hasn't come to the site to single me out and tell me I need to either quiet down or go to bed.

I'm working on it. Although you can count on Saturday #13 for a little rain. I've been watching closely and will fine tune and post tomorrow.

Our place in NH is 800’ from the road. But there is a long uphill.

So I will be serenaded by dozens of fucking unmuffled HD’s.

Friday is looking to be the nicest day of the weekend. Temps should at least be in the mid- to upper 70's with some clouds. Morning & nighttime temps in the mid 50's. Rain will move in late night and will last into Saturday morning.

Saturday & Sunday are going to be the same: Showers in the mornings with overcast afternoons and temps only in the mid 60's. Nighttime & morning temps will get down to the low 50's, maybe even dipping into the 40's. Neither day will be a washout though. These will be more of the widespread scattered variety and I think they'll subside by afternoon followed by cloudy gray skies.

I don't like to look too far ahead, especially in our part of the world. And this will need some tweaking, I'm sure. But I'm seeing clearing after Sunday and temps steadily climbing through the week next week. As is always the case, with the temps rising it will bring pop-up showers and possibly a thunderstorm here & there. We'll see sun most of the week only lightly filtered with partly cloudy skies. By Wednesday look for temps to climb into the 80's, maybe even approaching the low 90's by the end of the week.

I don't think they're gonna have to. Like I said, it's not gonna be a washout. And I think by the time they start the races the rain will be light if anything. More like overcast with possible light drizzle.
