Hey all. I am considering putting some Oberon bar end blinkers and CRG bar end mirrors on the Tuono to clean her up a bit. I've never ridden with bar end mirrors, and am looking for some input from those who have. Good idea? Bad idea?
I'm getting Oberon blinkers and CRG Arrow mirrors.
Any help would be great.
Also, I know that bar end blinkers arent exactly "legal" in some states due to the law saying they have to "be on the front of the bike". Has anyone been hassled about this?

I don't know about the blinkers, but I love my bar end mirrors. Definately made the front of the bike look sleeker..and got rid of my shoulder checking problem. Can see directly behind you with the bar ends. Just be careful how small you go...some bar ends are tiny any really limit your vision.
Youl also find that most bar end mirrors make what's behind you seem A LOT smaller.. if your used to your stock mirrors, it may take an adjustment, but it also means a larger veiwing space.

I CAME!
That setup looks slick. Do it up!
I went the Rizoma route.
Zero 11 blinkers (black)
Elisse mirrors (black)
Don't copy me, fukker!
I had bar ends for a while, but I didn't like how far I had to look down and away from the road, even with the dirtbike bars, to see behind me.
I prefer something higher (like my Rizomas) so I can see them in my peripheral vision.

no help with a review, but perhaps help with the purchase. No idea if they have the lowest prices or not, but I just signed up for this membership at motowheels:

and saved $45 on my order today. I know they've got the Oberon and CRG stuff, hell they have a package deal for the Duc's with Oberon blinkers/CRG bar end mirrors/folding levers/billet fluid resevoirs and tubing.
just an FYI, you may find them cheaper somewhere else![]()

haha thanks pete. I am worried about having to look too far to the left or right to see them but im also putting new bars on the tuono that are lower and less swept back, so maybe that will help. Thats the main reason for the thread, seeing if others liked them or thought they were too far out.
Dingo motowheels is where I was looking at em, I signed up for the VIP membership for $15.... and being a VIP would save me $15 on the order... so i guess I'll order them there or lose money!
The ducati crowd seems to swear by em. I think I will order and then ill let folks know how it turns out.
Oh and here is one for your trouble:

You won't see a large difference in horizontal head movement.. its down that is the adjustment.. you have to look down at your hands to veiw behind you.

I've got CRG Lane-Splitters and I love 'em. It is a little more effort to look down to look back but you get used to it. My triple had big honking Mickey ears for mirrors and they only showed you your shoulder anyway, these really clean up the bar area and there are no obstructions.
Those bar-end blinkers are the tits! Post up some pics when you're done.
Roger that. It will be a few weeks because the Navy is seeing fit to send me to the end of the world for a while but when I get back I will mount em up. Also, I need to make it to a bike night SOMEDAY to show them off.

I think a lot of good points about bar-end mirror have already been said, but I am going to echo them anyways.
1) Your mirrors are further into your peripheral vision when they are on the bars - it's not as easy to glance in them when riding. With these Third Eye Bar End Bicycle Mirrors which were inline with the bars, the mirror was occasionally obscured by my helmet chin-bar when I had my helmet tilted up, even just a little bit.
2) The viewing area is smaller/more-convex making the objects appear smaller and further away than they are - possibly more-so than with stockers.
3) Elbows are no longer in the way. Really lets you get your Spies on and still check the perimeter.
4) It looks bad ass - run 'em. Loosen up the neck muscles for those head checks that you'll be doing more of and you'll be golden.
These are the third-eye mirrors on the SV650
