Blowing fuses on my 02 F4I

It's the 10 A fuse for my instrument display. Blew once couple weeks ago in VT. Now again on short ride Saturday. This is third season on the bike. Had aftermarket front directionals when I got it.

I'm guessing it's a bad connection or chaffed wire but before I start my goose chase I figured may as well see if any ones dealt w/it b4.

Is the fan fuse the same as the dash fuse?

I ask only because if they are related then there's prolly a pebble keeping the fan from turning and subsequently blowing the fuse.

A bad connection isn't likely the culprit but a chafed wire hitting a ground is.

+1 probably an open wire hitting a ground

yep...shorting the system somewhere...chaffed wire is my bet
