It astounds me how many of these people teach someone how to ride by pointing the bike not at the 14 miles of empty parking lot, but the 3 SUVs lined right up next to each other.

Blind leading the blind. I'll give you the basics. Twist the throttle to go. Once you're comfortable with that, we'll worry about the rest in lesson 2.

The panic situation ones drive me nuts just because I feel like they were so avoidable. But because the throttle is also the handle, people clamp that handle and prepare for their 8 second rodeo ride, and keep that throttle pinned right where they left it.

Same here! Go to an open field for christ sake, and learn where the brakes are.

It also astounds me how many people START THE BIKE IN GEAR! Even if it's clutchless, they have the throttle pinned before they even kick it over.

That shit's hilarious... it should be mandatory to have a video camera anytime someone tries to ride a bike for the 1st time.

The kid on the dirt bike that planted it in the woods brought back memories. I put a Rebel 250 into the woods opposite our driveway when I was 14 or 15.. missed the mailbox by maybe 18". The difference is I had a 20' head start and was supposed to clutch in and stop before the woods. Didn't work out that way.

The idiots showing off for the camera I have no sympathy for. The noobs I do.

So many of them didn't have a hand on the brake when starting...maybe the kids are trying to get back at Mom for all those lima beans.
