    Boots

Went and tried on many Sidi boots, way to narrow. I like the look and design of the boots, but they do not fit. What would recommend for a wider foot?
Have been to three stores and ordered on line as well.

I love my smx-5 alpinestars. I have a slightly wider foot than normal and my Alpinestars fit great. I think they're the best compromise between price/protection/quality/daily comfort. Once I wore them in a bit I had no problems walking around normally and even the non vented smx-5 boots don't really overheat my feet in the summer months. (also easy on/off)

did you try on any MEGA versions, double EE width, only available in a few models. I have a wide foot and find these fit.

I don't know why but that little logo that's found on top of the shoe reminds me of the Fox logo. They do look nice though, maybe I should buy a pair. Also from your post it looks like you'd recommend these boots.

    Re: Boots

I've got a pair of older (2004?) Alpinestar GPS boots that I've worn into the ground. Fit well, have held up to FAR more abuse than they should have. I've used these light touring boots to learn how to race pitbikes in, motocross, road racing, etc. I can't begin to count the number of crashes they've been through. This year they've finally started to really succumb to the abuse, stitching is failing in spots, the zippers are wearing out, etc.

So you can have my two thumbs up for Alpinestar boots.

Feel the same way about them. A good compromise of price and protection. My feet are slightly wider and they fit me comfortable.

If you were the guy I was talking with on Saturday, the Sidi Vertigo Mega's in your size will be here on Tuesday for you to try.

Same issue for me. I ended up getting a pair of Cortech Latigo Air's. Really nice and fit great. Look similar to the AlpineStars but with a more pronounced shin guard. Cheap too. $130ish.
