Any other suggestions, ideas?
Thanks in advance
What type of boot are you looking for? I have a pair of oxtar TCS evos that I have been happy with.

I am using them strictly for street riding.
probably doesn't matter much, but the tech 2's are actually dirtbike boots.

Hey KillBill, I have the Sidi's that Oreo tossed up there... Super comfortable and more protection then construction/hiking boots without being a full street/race boot... I can wear them all day and get off the bike and continue wearing them with no problem. The sole is very grippy and stays on the pegs.

SMX-4's are extremely comfy too...but run about 2-hundy for the pair.
Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
i also rock those Sidi doha's everyday, like nick said great all around shoe that can be worn for extended periods of time w/out looking too much like a power ranger.
Btw, i keep those doha's instock at my job so if you need to be sized up or just want to see them in person you know where to go.

Go with Sidis you can replace parts on them including the sole, there comfortable, you can use them on the street or track, great boots...also adjustability for the calf. $240 you cant go wrong and there worth it for the protection.

Dude, definitely go Mighty Morphin on the purchase!

I also need to get new boots. what are the major differences between Sidi Vertigo and Sidi Vertigo Corsa?

If I remember correctly, the Vertigo Corsa's have an additional piece of lateral ankle support and they have an adjustable strap over the instep of your foot. THere are also a few smaller differences such as ceramic toe sliders and CF shin plate, etc. Check out New Enough...they have good descriptions and pictures
About buying boots.
I'd be careful about doing it mail order. One fit maybe just
a tad off, then you waste shipping charges returning them.
Also I bought a pair of Icon boots which look real cool
but when I got them they were ridiculous. The soles were so
thick and hard that you could barely walk and there was
literally no feel of the peg or pedal. I like some feedback
through the sole.
My opinion:
Nothing like a brick and mortar store for clothing
to try stuff on. Its nice to buy it there too !
