want to borrow/rent/buy a clutch holding tool for 06 YZ450f

I would like to borrow a clutch holding tool that will work on a 2006 yz450f. Anybody got one I can borrow/rent/buy?

Just an FYI they cost something like $30....would probably cost you 10 gas each way to get mine. but you are welcome to use it.

I know. I really want to get this thing together this week. That is why i was hoping to borrow a tool from someone close by.

Gotcha, unfortunately I don't really travel up that way much or I'd help ya out with the transportation

In a pinch, if you are junking the steel plates in the clutch pack you can clamp on to 1 or 2 of them with a pair of vice grips to hold the basket still. Just make sure to use a pair that will fit inbetween the openings of the outer basket.

I hear you but I am re-using the clutch that I have. I should have just ordered one of these tools a few weeks ago.

What dealership are you going to? Any dealership I have went to its been 3-5 day wait time unless I wanted to pay overnight or 2 day shippIng charges, $30 and $15 up to a $200 part or something like that.

The Motion Pro tool #PS18 should be in the NY warehouse. Which is 1 day away from any dealership that carries Parts Unlimited and submits their order before 2pm.

Oh maybe it's not in the NY warehouse then. I've never used one. I have always used an impact. Why don't you just find someone with an impact and a socket? Those are much easier to come by...
