yeah, but I can honestly say that I have never gotten out of a speeding ticket by flashing some cleavage and crying....just kidding...
Seriously, it must infuriate you.
I have noticed that when I'm with my GF and she is shopping for any big ticket item like electronics or whatever, I have to tell the guy to stop talking to me and talk to her. Sometimes, I have to do it more than once...

Oh yeah....Best Buy is the worst. A guy walks into the TV section and looks at the large screens and they come swooning right in....I do, and stand there looking at all of them, start comparing, look at the salespeople who are standing around shooting the shit like, ah hello, I could use some help here....nothing. I have spent up to 25 minutes looking an the not busy staff never offer to help.
I make sure I tell the greeter on my way out how useless they are and that I am going someplace else.
It can be a benefit too. When we just went to shop for a recliner for the nursery for me, we told the guy it was for me and I was making the decision, but he still insisted on talking to my husband. The nice thing was that it kept the guy distracted long enough for me to try a bunch and find the one I wanted without being sold to. I grabbed the model number, walked over to the cashier office and paid for it, then left. The sales guy was probably pissed.

I had a lemon of a car years ago and the man I was dealing with at the dealership was useless and talked really loud and really slowly to me. Drove me nuts! When I called customer service to complain and tell them I feel like I would be treated differently if I was a man, the CS rep (who was a woman) told me that maybe I should have my Dad call!?!
Being a woman in the industry and even the sport can be difficult. We need to have thick skins, which many of us on here do. I hate being treated like that though and the holes of my filter of saying things I shouldn't is getting bigger and bigger over the years...

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
funny you say this, yesterday it was I'm too pretty to work in a place 'like this' and today I had old man river stare at me for literally five seconds after he saw me upon asking for a manager, and told me I 'couldn't be the manager' and I really did have to reassure him that I, indeed, was the manager.
*SIGH* and also *face palm*
