Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Last summer was in Providence one night talking with a Prov cop on the side of the road, 12-15 dirt bikes roll by on 1 wheel no lights/plates/reg etc I said "that cool?" he said "can't do anything about it." I said "If I drove by on my registered/insured Duc and popped a 15 foot wheelie you'd pull me over, right?" he said "You'd stop, right?"

Let the experiment roll .
I am a total Darwinist , let the 4 principals of natural selection do there thing .
The huge downside to this approach though, is all the innocent victims whom we’re just going about their day also.

I just skimmed that and didn’t see the headlined said by the mayor, verbatim, and that last bold paragraph is a park goer… so SLIGHTLY misleading post OP, but clearly pandering to that group I guess.
They are criminals, cut and dry. Unless it is fine, and in that case I’m buying a Banshee and y’all will see me on 93 this weekend biiiiiiiiiitchessssss!
Your park avenue leads to..
Dying in fatal accidents, which is what this behavior results in, is not actually a much-needed outlet for the city's young people. I award her no points.

The Mayor needs to do something rather than puke platitudes. She should want to get to the answer to this questions…
Do these youths WANT to create disturbances, chaos, and damage and USE dirtbikes as the tool of choice?
Or
Do these youths WANT to ride dirt bikes, and end up in these bad situations because they lack a proper venue?
Here’s my suggestion…
Take Franklin Park away from the golfers and turn it into a legal off-road riding area.
Set up programs for instruction, licensure and safety.
Lean on community businesses to donate safety equipment.
Set up programs, similar to “Bikes not Bombs", where kids can learn to wrench and work off the cost of a dirt bike.
As crazy as this sounds, there are ways to start from where we are and use this to responsibly grow the sport.
Then, if they continue to choose to disturb regular taxpayers’ quiet enjoyment of their neighborhoods, run them down and scoop them up in a front loader.
These 2 sentiments are not contradictory, they’re complementary.

Assholes are a privileged class in America. Anybody who has ever dealt with public long enough knows this.
They can go their whole life not tipping, parking like dicks, littering, door dinging everybody elses cars, leaving shopping carts behind, being obnoxious neighbors, not picking up after their dogs, abuse sick time at work, demanding they are always right as a customer and breaking a bunch of other societal norms and small laws that never get enforced with zero punishment.
This is just another type we get to witness and get annoyed by.
Question for you all.
Should these Harley guys (also local) be treated the same or better than the dirt bikes? They have their bikes registered but they ride like assholes and completely take over the road and disregard all the rules

I don't have an answer to the question. Technically the break less laws but are still dicks.
Some people just suck
She's pandering to her demographic. She doesn't care about people like us. Boston is going off the rails almost as fast as the rest of the country right now. It's shaping up to be a crazy summer. Degsy is 100% right someone is going to get shot, it's already increased this year. That and stabbings left and right now. Fun times
Reminds me of the answer I've always wanted to give when asked if I know why I was pulled over......"because I let you"

they don't want to ride off road...when do you see these crews riding on the road to a trailhead to ride in the woods?...answer is never...they want to be seen...making tax payers pay for a venue, education and insure it for a bunch of kids on stolen dirt bikes and quads that would ride them on the road to this venue and keep riding on the roads anyway doesn't seem fair to tax payers...if they wanted to ride off road they could find a buddy with a truck and pay for ohv license...police drones with net guns is the answer
bike: none but i have a seafoam green 125cc scooter

Similar proposals have been made by City Counselors.
Among other obstacles (like the fact golfers vote), DCR wanted the bikes to buy their $100 OHV permit. Which means they’d have to pay sales tax first. Which means they’d have to prove ownership.
When the topic got to insurance, you can imagine how that went.

They have no interest in the dirt. They want to be a public spectacle and command the road.

This is the realz. You could make the commons a legal motocross track and most of them still wouldn't go. People that are stuntin in the middle of Boylston are not looking for a legal dirt track.
We have a problem with this and bicycles in my work city. Wheelies in the middle of the road holding up traffic for a hot minute. Scraping a kids brains off 114 had no effect on them. I ask them where are their helmets all the time. No car, they wanna be hooligans

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
That’s an incredibly moronic piece of baiting.
Of course there are already laws.
What you intentionally chose to leave out is that many communities have made the decision not to enforce them. I disagree with that decision.
But the proliferation of these assholes is not due to a lack of laws.
You truly are aptly named.
